Ajang penghargaan musik bergengsi, American Music Awards (AMA) 2025, sukses digelar di the Fontainebleau Las Vegas pada Senin (26/5) malam. Dipandu oleh Jennifer Lopez, acara ini memberikan apresiasi kepada para musisi terbaik berdasarkan pilihan penggemar.
Billie Eilish menjadi bintang utama malam itu dengan membawa pulang tujuh piala, termasuk penghargaan tertinggi, Artist of the Year. Ia berhasil mengungguli nama-nama besar seperti Ariana Grande, Chappel Roan, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, dan Post Malone. Albumnya, "Hit Me Hard and Soft," dinobatkan sebagai Album of the Year, sementara lagunya, "Birds of a Feather," meraih Song of the Year.
Beyonce mencetak sejarah dengan memenangkan piala AMA untuk kategori country pertamanya, yaitu Favorite Female Country Artist dan Favorite Country Album melalui album "Cowboy Carter." RM dari BTS juga meraih pencapaian penting dengan memenangkan Favorite K-Pop Artist sebagai solois.
Meskipun memimpin dalam jumlah nominasi, Kendrick Lamar hanya berhasil membawa pulang satu piala, Favorite Hip-Hop Song, untuk lagunya yang berjudul "Not Like Us."
